AFRICAN WILDLIFE: HEALTH, PHYSICAL & CHEMICAL
RESTRAINT

This exciting practical and theoretical course is organized by the University of Zimbabwe, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences (Prof. Norman Mukarati) in collaboration with the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (Prof. Andrei Daniel Mihalca) and Parasitology Consultancy Group.
Register for this unique training course on African wildlife medicine
The course includes theory and practice (hands-on) African wildlife capture, health, disease surveillance and monitoring, pathology. Hands-on experiences will include mass capture using fence and helicopter, as well as individual capture of antelopes, zebras, buffaloes, elephants, lions, hyenas, pythons, and crocodiles and post-mortem examination of crocodiles.
Price: For international participants 1950 EUR (see below what is included). Confirmation is done by a payment of 50% of the registration fee, not later than 30 April 2024, followed by a second payment of 50% not later than 30 June 2024. The full payment until 30 April 2024 offers a 5% discount.
Re-funding policy: 50% of the first payment is refundable until 31 May 2024. 50% of the second payment is refundable until 30 July 2024.
Number of participants: 10 local and 15 international. Places are limited and the principle of acceptance is first confirmed, first accepted.

Detailed program and venues
The theoretical course will take place at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences in Harare. The practical hands-on activities will happen at Mukuvisi Woodlands, Haka Game Park and Harare Lion and Cheetah Park.
The registration fee includes:
- access to all activities
- accommodation (only for international participants)
- local transportations related to the course
- all meals during the course duration
- access fees to the locations for practical activities
Not included in the fee:

- medical/travel/health insurance
- any other expenses not mentioned above
